Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.

Harriet Tubman

We are back after a few days of not being able to tell you what we have been up to, but one thing has not changed, we are still being inundated with rain. Even just over a week in, this has been the wettest summer we have had in quite awhile. It is making getting the home repair project done a bit of a challenge. Today we had planned two roofing sites, a outdoor painting site and the camps. One roofing site ended up coming back to The Way and installing the fixtures in a new handicap accessible bathroom. The other roofing site was able to rig up some tarps and continue to work. The outdoor painting site made a valiant attempt, but then the rain became a bit too much, not only for painting, but for getting out of the muddy driveway. With many thanks to D and R wrecking in Brenton, they helped to get the cars out. The camp at The Way was a bit down on numbers today so the crew rallied their creative talents and made new signs and plastered Mullens with fliers in hopes of reaching kids who may not have know about the camp. We will see if their efforts and rewarded on Wednesday. On a brighter note, tomorrow looks like it is going to be a dry warm day, perfect for finishing up some sites.

We had a lot of wonderful vegetarian comfort food for dinner tonight and could wash it down with a cake that was brought in for us from the community, with a "Welcome PVs" written on top. The Way community has been very sweet and welcoming to us this summer.

The evening wrapped up with a reflection on community. Community is such an important part of the PV experience and time we can reflect on what community means to us is always good.
