Don't
ever forget that you're a citizen of this world, and there are things you can
do to lift the human spirit, things that are easy, things that are free, things
that you can do every day.
What a nice day. For the first time this summer, I think, we had a rain free day during the home repair times. We were able to get a lot of work done, including finishing up two sites from last week (the stairs and porch roofs) and coming really close to finishing up another two (the trim and doors, and the roof.) Work continued a the flooring site in Mullens and a new flooring site was started out in Ravencliff.
The big news of the day was that we had 8 kids at camp! The kids were thrilled with the special art classes and enjoyed playing with all the volunteers who were around.
Dinner tonight was delicious... a baked potato bar complete with all the fixings, corn casserole and salad. As usual all was scrumptious.
Reflection tonight was led by our two youngest PVs in the community. Using a reading from an inspiration book for kids, we were asked to share a time when we were hard on ourselves and whether that was a good thing or a bad thing. PV youth continue to inspire!
