After a successful first day of camp volunteers were treated to a yummy dinner of homemade eggplant parm, caesar salad and bread. After dishes were done, the community gathered together for reflection and planning for the next day. We took the rainforest theme of the camp and reflected on that ourselves as well as shared a "new and good" from the day.
Today's weather is much like yesterday's, cool and wet. Despite the weather, the camp attendance still grew. Kids even still wanted to go outside for "recess" even in the rain. The kids continued to be enthusiastic and extremely well behaved.
We are looking forward to tonight when we have a potluck dinner with PVs from the area. We are expecting a great turnout, lots of fun and lots of laughter.
