NIU Service Trip

Today marks the beginning of Northern Illinois University's 2013 Service Trip, their 15th year coming with the PVs. They are, yet again, another wonderful group of students and we are looking forward to working with them throughout the week.

The first Sunday is always a time for community bonding for the group, Mass, biscuit world, hiking, get to know you activities, etc. As the day is starting to draw to a close, the group gets an orientation to the PVs, the area and the activities they will be participating in.  The day finally wrapped up with the PV's traditional commission service to send the students forth for their week. Everyone is eager and ready for where ever the journey leads them.

Check back on the blog daily as we post about the activities and pictures from the adventures.

PV Fall Evaluation/Reunion Weekend

You are invited!!!
2012 Fall PV Evaluation/Reunion Weekend
October 13-14 on the New Jersey Shore

We are once again, generously being hosted for the weekend by PVs Jo Welter and Wayne Berning. If you have never been before, the weekend is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with fellow PVs, talk about this past summer and plan for next summer. More importantly, it is our hope that it will give you a chance to step back from your busy lives, reconnect with your PV family and feel refreshed when it is time to depart.

Saturday will be spent at Jo’s house in Bradley Beach going over the evaluations and talking about ways to improve the program. And of course since we will be at Jo’s, we are sure to be well fed and if the weather is nice we can the short walk down to the beach. After we wrap up activities at Jo’s, we will be heading a couple of miles down the road to Wayne’s house for what is always a wonderful evening of food, fun and fellowship.

If you would like to come, please RSVP to us no later than October 1st so that our hosts can plan accordingly. When you RSVP you can also let us know if you would like accommodations for the weekend. And remember, it doesn’t matter to us if you volunteered this past summer, we would still love to see you!
